About Me
I’m Janine, a Scot who’s always loved to travel. Ever since I was a young child I was fortunate enough to be able to travel abroad. I’ve spent many family holidays in southern Spain and as an adult I’ve had the opportunity to travel to more far flung places such as Hong Kong, Mexico and Sri Lanka.
While I’ve loved the adventures I’ve had in more exotic destinations, I’ve always felt drawn to Europe and over the past few years I’ve been lucky enough to travel to lots of different cities all over Europe.
I love the diversity of Europe. Even in the age of globalisation you can still find something that is unique to each country. So I’ll pass by the high street coffee chain to find that cosy local coffee shop with handmade cakes and pastries. Or skip the fast food franchise in favour of some tasty street food.
Finding the hidden gems down a side street can create some memories that will stay with you forever. And you don’t have to bust the budget on a two week break if you don’t want to. Many European cities can be explored in a few days.
So I want to share some of my experiences and hopefully inspire you to take a long weekend in Europe.
Happy travels!
